Left-back Jamie Reckord become Wrexham's first signing of the summer of 2020.

Reckord began his career with hometown club Wolverhampton Wanderers signing youth forms from the age of nine. The full-back stayed with Wolves for nine years before signing professional terms with the Premier League side.

Once signed as a pro, Reckord had a spree of loan spells initially joining Northampton Town in League Two. He made his senior debut in March 2011 in a 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield and made a total of seven appearances during the run-in to the end of the 2010/11 campaign.

Upon his return the left-back made his Wolves debut in the League Cup, which saw the side drawn against Reckord's former loan side Northampton, winning the game 4-0 at Sixfields.

Having signed a 12-month extension in the summer of 2011, Reckord went out on loan the following year spending spells with Scunthorpe United and Coventry City. In 2013 he made his second and final Wolves appearances, coming once again in the League Cup, before heading out to Plymouth Argyle and later Swindon Town on a temporary basis.

Following the expiration of his Wolves deal in the summer of 2014, Reckord signed for Ross County in the Scottish Premiership in the October. He made his debut in Scotland in a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock. After five years he eventually scored his first professional goal, coming against Dundee in February 2015. 

After making 42 league appearances, Reckord was released by Ross County and signed for League One Oldham Athletic. He made his debut in a 3-0 loss to Millwall. Chances with the Latics was limited, making just 16 appearances in all competitions and departed Oldham the next summer.

After some time out of the game, Reckord signed for National League outfit Solihull Moors in December 2017. He made his debut days after signing in a 0-0 draw with Boreham Wood. In the final game of 2017 he scored just his second career goal, a winning penalty in the 84th minute at Holker Street. 

In his first season he helped secure their place in the division before the 2018/19 campaign saw the Moors and Reckord lift themselves into the promotion picture, finishing in the play-offs for the first time, eventually losing to losing finalists AFC Fylde. Reckord was well on his way to over a century of appearances for Solihull before the season was cut short due to COVID-19, and totalled 98 appearances in all competitions during his time with the club.

In August 2020 he became the club's first signing ahead of the 2020/21 campaign penning a one-year contract.
