Leeds-born striker Rekeil Pyke signed for Wrexham for a second spell in July 2018 to boost the Dragons frontline.

Signing for Huddersfield Town aged 11 in 2009, Pyke rose through the youth ranks and signed professional terms with the Premier League side in 2016.

In November 2016 he was loaned out to Wrexham and would quickly make his senior debut away to Lincoln City. He’d make a further two appearances against Macclesfield Town and Sutton United before returning to the John Smith’s Stadium a few days before Christmas.

In February 2017 he moved to Colchester United in League Two where he made his first EFL appearance in a 2-3 home defeat to Crawley Town.

He made a further eleven appearances in Essex before returning at the end of the season.

During the 2017/18 season Pyke moved back out on loan to get game time with Port Vale, making seven appearances for the Valiants before heading back to Yorkshire early due to injury in a reserve match.

Following his recovery, Pyke re-joined Wrexham to further his progress in the summer of 2018.
