Midfielder Sam Wedgbury signed for the Dragons in the summer of 2017 as part of Dean Keates’ new look side.

He began life with Worcester City and in 2005 and became the clubs youngest ever goal scorer, scoring on his debut at the age of 16.
He attracted interest from bigger clubs and switched to Sheffield United for a five figure fee in 2006, where he spent four years.
He spent time on loan with Mansfield Town as well as Hungarian side Ferencvarosi TC. Wedgbury failed to make an appearance with the Blades and in turn joined Macclesfield Town in 2010.
The middle man spent three years with the Silkmen making exactly 100 league appearances scoring twice,  whilst also having a loan spell with Altrincham in 2011.
In 2013 he made the step-up with Stevenage spending one year at the Lamex but made just 13 appearances.
In 2014 he began a three year stay with Forest Green Rovers where he played a part in the clubs promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history.
In 2017 he was released from the New Lawn and joined the Racecourse revolution.
