Highly-rated former Wales youth international goalkeeper, Del Morgan, returned to Wrexham in 2021 ahead of the Club’s inaugural Genero Adran North campaign.

Morgan played for the former Wrexham Ladies team as a teenager in the Women’s Welsh Premier, and was part of the side which reached the FAW Women’s Cup semi-finals in 2015 before the team folded.

Morgan had already been part of the girls’ academy set-up at Liverpool, and returned to Merseyside when she signed for FA Women’s Super League side Everton. She made the bench for the senior team during her time with the Toffees.

Alongside playing, Morgan is also a highly-qualified and respected coach; she is goalkeeping coach for Wales Women Under-19s and works full-time with Liverpool FC Women in their Pro Game Academy.

After playing with Rhyl and Connah’s Quay Nomads, Morgan returned to Wrexham in 2021 as one of the key signings going into a new era for the Club.

She played a key role in the Club’s unbeaten run under Steve Dale in 2021/22, that saw them finish second in the table – only missing out on the title on the final day.

Morgan then kept ten clean sheets in 20 appearances in 2022/23, including a starring role in the 1-0 Play-Off Final win against Briton Ferry Llansawel to seal promotion – the goalkeeper’s heroics including pulling off a stunning save from a free-kick in the final minute of stoppage time.

Unsurprisingly, Morgan – who captained the team in that play-off final – was among the first ten players to be handed a semi-professional contract in the summer of 2023.
