Experienced midfielder Lauryn Lyons brought a wealth of top-flight experience to Steve Dale’s side when she signed for Wrexham ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Originally from North Wales, Lyons – who played for the national team at Under-17 and Under-19 level and was called into the senior squad too – has played for Cardiff City, Swansea City and Pontypridd United in the top flight.
After overcoming two serious injuries in her time in South Wales, Lyons returned north in 2022 and was tempted to Wrexham by the ambitious project in place for the women’s team.
After ten appearances and three goals in all competitions, however, the midfielder suffered another serious knee injury just as she was finding her feet in the first team.
Wrexham AFC committed to supporting Lauryn’s recovery from her injury when the squad for the 2023/24 season was announced.
