TJ Dickens signed for Wrexham in 2021 after impressing on trial in the friendly match against Northop Hall Ladies at the Racecourse in pre-season.
A popular figure with former team Connah’s Quay, where she had previously been named Manager’s Player of the Season, Dickens soon made her mark at Wrexham too.
She ended her first season with four league goals, and also played a starring role as an emergency goalkeeper in a crucial 3-2 win against her former club. She was named Players’ Player of the Season as a result.
Dickens would go on to make an even bigger impact in the 2022/23 season, with her four goals in 21 appearances including a long-range free-kick to open the scoring in front of a Welsh-record crowd of 9,511 on the final day against Connah’s Quay.
A playmaking midfielder with a good passing range and a dangerous set-piece delivery, Dickens was unsurprisingly signed on as one of the first ten players handed a semi-pro contract for the 2023/24 season.
