Anthony Forde joined the club in July 2022, with the versatile Irishman having previously appeared in the Premier League, in addition to recording more than 300 appearances at senior level.

He came through Wolves’ academy system after joining the club in 2009 and went on to make his Premier League debut against Chelsea in November 2011.

The 29-year-old made international appearances for the Republic of Ireland at both Under-21 and Under-19 level.

His first move away from the Black Country came in March 2013, as he joined Scunthorpe United on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Forde departed Wolves permanently in the summer of 2014 as he moved across the west Midlands, joining League One side Walsall on a two-year-deal for an undisclosed fee.

After a fruitful two-year spell at the club where he went on to make 78 league appearances and register seven goals, Forde moved to Championship side Rotherham United on a three-year deal in June 2016.

Following the expiry of his deal at Rotherham, Forde signed a two-year deal at Oxford United, which was later extended.

He made his debut against Peterborough United before scoring his first goal for the club against Burton Albion.

During a three-year stint at the U’s, he registered 66 league appearances and scored three times.

Forde left the Kassam Stadium in July 2022, as Phil Parkinson secured the services of the 29-year-old on a two-year deal after an undisclosed fee was agreed with Oxford.

Following his arrival at the STōK Cae Ras, the wing-back made 39 appearances in all competitions during the 2022/23 title-winning season.
