Callum McFadzean arrived at the STōK Cae Ras in January 2022, as Phil Parkinson moved to bolster his backline.

The left wing-back advanced through the Sheffield United academy, and was part of their FA Youth Cup runners-up team in 2011.

He made his senior debut for the Blades, and also spent time on loan with Chesterfield, Burton Albion and Stevenage.

He moved north of the border to sign for Kilmarnock before dropping into non-league with Alfreton Town and Guiseley.

McFadzean's return to the EFL was a triumphant one. He featured 40 times in Bury’s Sky Bet League Two title winning campaign.

The following season he linked up with his former boss Ryan Lowe, and the two achieved promotion from the fourth tier once again.

It was due to this success, which saw him sign for Sunderland under Parkinson, where he won the EFL Trophy at Wembley.

After a brief spell at the beginning of the 2021/22 season with Crewe, he was reunited with Parkinson in north Wales.

McFadzean played a key part in the club’s promotion to the EFL, appearing 27 times in the National League last season.
