Billy Waters signed for Wrexham AFC from Barrow AFC for an undisclosed fee until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Already in the 2022/23 season, Waters has provided ten goals and assists for Barrow in their League Two campaign.

Waters made his professional debut for Crewe Alexandra in the 2013/14 season in League One.

Billy really burst onto the scene though with Cheltenham Town in the 2015/16 season, when his eleven goals helped them arrive at the National League title.

A further twelve in the following season would help Cheltenham Town secure their place in the Football League.

Teaming up with Northampton Town, Waters would have subsequent loan spells with Cambridge United, Newport County and a return to Cheltenham sandwiched in-between.

It was after this that Billy would return to the National League to help Torquay United to a play-off final in the 2020/21 season.

Another promotion push would follow last season, where Waters helped Halifax Town to finish fourth in the table, before his move to Barrow AFC.

Since arriving at Wrexham, Waters has found game time hard to come by in his short time at the Club. However, he will be a useful asset in the club’s return to the EFL – having scored nine goals in League Two last season.
