Owen Jackson was the first addition to the backroom team following the takeover of the Football Club, arriving as Sports Scientist in February 2021.

Jackson began his sporting life with Stockport County and Altrincham before switching over to Rugby League whilst working with St Helens in the Super League, taking care of the academy side.

After his time with the Saints he moved back to Manchester, this time taking up the role of Strength & Conditioning Coach/ Sports Scientist for Salford City in Sky Bet League Two in August 2020.

He replaced Nick Barnett at Wrexham towards the end of the 2020/21 season.
