We're seeking a committed Safeguarding, EDI, and Welfare Lead to champion a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all club members, especially children, young people, and adults at risk.

You will serve as the club’s Senior Safeguarding Manager, collaborating with the EFL and FA/FAW to meet all safeguarding standards and requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass managing safeguarding incidents, leading safer recruitment practices, and ensuring the continual enhancement of our safeguarding procedures.

In addition to your safeguarding duties, you will lead on all Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) matters, ensuring that EDI principles are embedded throughout the club. You will be responsible for training, policy development, and advocating for diverse groups to ensure compliance with the EFL Code of Practice.

You’ll need extensive experience in safeguarding and EDI within sports or similar fields including Certification in FA/FAW Safeguarding and Welfare Officers workshops.  Working in a dynamic and passionate environment, you’ll demonstrate an ability to manage sensitive information and complex situations effectively.

Support our Academy - become a host family for 2024/25!

We are recruiting for host families to support our Academy players for the 2024/25 season.

Academy manager Andy Lowe said: "Host families are crucial in assisting young players on their journey in football.

"Some young players need to stay with host families for various reasons to take the opportunity of full-time with the Football Club.

"We want all players to have the best opportunity to succeed in their time with us and the introduction of host families play an integral part in this.

"A host family is a position of trust and responsibility to ensure the best possible care for our young people who live away from home during the season - always providing a safe, welcoming and comfortable home."
