SAFEGUARDING
Important information, policies and links
Safeguarding is a fundamental aspect of Wrexham Association Football Club, and the Club is determined to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to protect from harm, those children and young people who participate in activity at Wrexham AFC.
Our united approach to safeguard across the Club is driven by a clear strategy:
Implementing preventative safeguarding measures (such as safer recruitment) to create fun, safe football environments;
Making the reporting of concerns as easy as possible (such as through My Concern and My Voice QR Codes around our facilities);
Ensuring safeguarding, child protection and adult at risk concerns are investigated swiftly and thoroughly in conjunction with statutory agencies – and with demonstrable outcomes.
Collectively, Wrexham AFC has an ongoing duty and commitment to ensure the game is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for the thousands of children, young people and adults who regularly play, watch, coach, referee and volunteer, participating within a broad spectrum of activities at the Club.
The Club has a moral, legal, and social responsibility to provide a fun and safe environment for all those participating in these activities. Working in partnership with children and young people and their support network is essential in promoting and embedding our policy.
Our policy establishes the organisation’s position, role and responsibilities and clarifies what is expected from everybody involved within the Club. It very clearly highlights the importance placed by Wrexham AFC in the protection of children and young people; and safeguarding their welfare.
Individual responsibility is essential, and our united approach to safeguard across the Club is driven by a clear strategy, underpinned by our policies, procedures and regulations; and the information below aims to help everyone have access to Safeguarding information:
