Red Dragons celebrate another fantastic year

Wrexham AFC came together on Monday April 29 to celebrate the achievements of the first team, women’s team and academy for the 2023/24 season.

Among the award winners were Harry Ashfield who received the Bob Clark Academy Player of the Season, Erin Lovett received the Community Player of the Season, along with Mike Matthews who earned the Service and Support award.

The teams also cast their votes for Players’ Player with the Wrexham AFC Women awarding theirs to Phoebe Davies and the men's first team to Elliot Lee. Not only did the players have their say, so did the 400 fans who were in attendance – making the final decision on the Steve Edwards Goal of the Season, sponsored by Ifor Williams Trailers, with Ryan Barnett taking the honours for his goal against Forest Green Rovers.

Paul Mullin and Rosie Hughes were awarded with Player of the Season - both also scored themselves Top Goalscorer of the season to support their highest accolades.

Proceedings then concluded with the back-to-back promotion-winning men's first team being handed their medals and trophy for their second-place finish in Sky Bet League Two.
