Aidan Davison signed as goalkeeping coach in the summer of 2022 following the retirement of Lee Butler.

The move to the Racecourse Ground reunited the former Northern Ireland international keeper with manager Phil Parkinson, who he played under and won promotion with at Colchester United.

Following Parkinson's departure from the U's, Davison went on to serve as goalkeeping coach at the end of a career in which he had made 351 senior league appearances in 20 years and played Premier League football with Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City.

He later managed Hull City's reserves, spent time in America with FC Jax Destroyers, FC Arizona and Sporting Arizona and served as goakeeping coach for Indian Super League sides Pune FC and Hyderabad FC.

In June 2022, however, it was announced he was returning to the UK to take up the coaching job at Wrexham.
