FIXTURE NEWS | Wrexham AFC Women 2022/23 fixtures released

Red Dragons to start with trip to Llanfair; first home game on September 11

5 August 2022

Wrexham AFC Women will start their 2022/23 Genero Adran North campaign with an away trip to Llanfair United on Sunday September 4, 2011, after the fixtures were released for the new season.

Last season’s runners-up, Wrexham will then face CPDM Y Felinheli (formerly Bethel Ladies) a week later in their first home game in an early test of their title credentials. As Bethel, Felinheli finished just two points behind Steve Dale’s side last season.

The match will be the first Genero Adran North league game at Wrexham AFC Women’s new home ground for the season, Rhos Aelwyd FC.

The team have moved for the new campaign in order to meet FAW Licensing Criteria that was not possible at Brymbo’s Crick. However, all at Wrexham AFC would like to place on record our huge thanks to the staff at Brymbo Sports and Social Club for hosting us throughout last season.

Wrexham return to Llandudno, to face the champions in a re-match of the thrilling winner-takes-all final-day title clash of last season, on match-day four on October 23 and host Tudno in the reverse fixture on February 5.

Local rivals Connah’s Quay Nomads, who finished fourth last season, visit Rhos Aelwyd FC on November 13, with the reverse fixture at the Deeside Stadium on February 26.

Wrexham conclude their season at home to Airbus UK Broughton on March 19, 2023.

The draw for the Genero Adran Trophy group stage has also been made today, with Wrexham CPD Y Rhyl 1879, Llanfair United and Llangefni Town in Group 1 North.

Fixtures will take place on September 25, October 16 and November 6.
