This weekend’s fixtures dedicated to Her Game Too

25 March 2023

Wrexham AFC are proud to announce a partnership with the Her Game Too, as part of this weekend’s Wrexham AFC Mens and Womens Fixtures at the Racecourse Ground.

Her Game Too is a campaign run by a group of supporters who are passionate about football and working to eradicate sexism in the football industry. Their mission is to support women and girls of all ages to feel confident and safe sharing their opinion about football both online and in real life without fear of sexist abuse.

This weekend's fixtures against York City (Saturday) and Connah’s Quay (Sunday) will see the club officially launch its partnership, both games will be part of the Her Game Too weekend.

Representatives from Her Game Too will be speaking at both fixtures and keep an eye out for the Her Game Too photo frame making its way around the stadium - grab a photograph and support #HerGameToo!

Her Game Too Director, Roopa Vyas said "We are delighted to have the support of Wrexham AFC for Her Game Too.

“The club have achieved incredible things already with the women’s team hoping to become semi-professional and are set to break the Welsh domestic attendance record on Sunday, with the men’s team battling for promotion, so we are over the moon that they will use this momentous occasion to celebrate the partnership launch and spread our message of equality in football.”

Wrexham AFC, CEO Fleur Robinson said “Wrexham AFC is proud to partner with Her Game Too and we are delighted to celebrate their fantastic work at this weekend’s fixtures.

"Football is for everyone and Wrexham AFC aims to encourage all fans to come and watch the team they support and in no circumstances should they feel unsafe whilst doing so.

"To host our first Her Game Too Weekend shows the progess were taking to make not only on the pitch but off it also ensuring that everyone feels safe to attend and cheer on the Red Dragons.”
