Wrexham AFC Women secured a first win in phase two of the Genero Adran Premier as they defeated Aberystwyth Town Women at Park Avenue.
A fast start from the Red Dragons saw them apply pressure from the beginning - pressure which saw Brooke Cairns score her first Wrexham goal since signing in February with a punishing assist from Carra Jones. A incredible shot-stopping save from Del Morgan stopped Aberystwth's quick fight back.
The Red Dragons were on the hunt for more. A second goal from Jones saw Wrexham enter half-time with a two-goal margin.
The Red Dragons held their nerve, keeping the home side at bay until the final whistle - securing themselves their first points of the phase two stage.
